No more dead skin cells, leftover dirt, or plastic loofas. This washcloth is handmade by the native Otomi people in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, is about to change your mind about what clean skin truly feels like. This fiber is traditionally called "ayate" and has been used by the natives for a long time for SO many different uses! The natives harvest it, process it, and handloom it into a washcloth. It dries quickly and can last quite a long time. The natural anti-microbial properties of the plant prevent mold and bacteria if properly dried after each use. You will see after the initial break-in period, the fiber will expand in form, the holes will narrow down, and the cloth will become smaller. This is a great alternative to the loofa gourd!
