A versatile, quick drying, long-lasting alternative to typical store-bought sponges. These won't stink up and harbor bacteria like the plastic foam sponges do! Due to the loose, yet helf together fibers, most food particles get rinsed out during normal use. It is on the medium-soft side in terms of texture. After using, you will soon discover a method for compressing the fibers back into themselves; no adhesive used in the making of these.
 
The tedious process of harvesting, processing, and making these scrubbers by hand is a community effort done by the indigenous Otomi people in Hidalgo, Mexico. With the advent of plastic, this has almost become a lost art. However, much efforts are being made to bring back and cultivate demand for natural fiber products. Not only do are these scrubbers 100% eco-friendly, natural, biodegradable, and support indigenous communities - they also scrub and keep so much better than sponges you may be used to!
