Step 1 | Brush hair with a natural fiber hair brush to distribute existing natural oils (for finer hair). For coarser hair, skip to Step 2.

Step 2 | Lightly apply oil to the ends of hair for oily/regular hair types & also to scalp for drier hair types. If using on scalp, massage it in well. Start with a small amount to ensure it is all rinsed out with the shampoo. If your hair feels oily after, reduce oil accordingly next time. These ingredients are alive, not chemicals, so you will find the right balance by learning your body.

Step 3 | Use a comb to detangle hair and increase blood flow to the scalp.

Step 4 | In a small bowl, start with ~1 tbsp of herbal shampoo powder. Long and thick hair will need more. Gradually add water, honey, or aloe vera gel until achieving the desired consistency to form a smoothe paste and remove clumps. Completely wet your hair.

Step 5 | Gradually apply the herbal shampoo paste to your scalp and hair and massage thoroughly. Lightly douse hair under water to distribute the paste even more so. When rinsing, the entirety of the hair will receive some shampoo & nourishment. For thicker hair, apply shampoo by applying in sections of hair from the front to back in order to evenly distribute and get the paste to all of your scalp evenly. Similar to a river branching out into different river veins. 

Step 6 | Massage the paste thoroughly into your scalp with the tips of your fingers. Lightly douse some water to allow more lather if needed.

Step 7 | Rinse out very well with high pressured water. For coarser hair, divide hair with fingers, at the root, in sections to really get it all rinsed out.

Step 8 | Optional Hair Rinse | Mix apple cider vinegar / peach cider vinegar with aloe vera, water, or soaked fenugreek powder to make a gel & apply from the scalp to tips of hair, and rinse out with cold water - this will ultimately help close your hair cuticles and leave your hair soft and shiny!

 

Very minor remanence of herbal powder may be there even after completely rinsing. Rinse best you can; the rest will shake out once dry. Extremely low water pressure may extend rinsing time.

AVOID INGESTING OR GETTING IT INTO YOUR EYES. If this happens, cup water in your hand and blink eyes to rinse. It will burn for a short while after, and should soon subside.
